What Our Friends and Family Say
“To the staff at Avalon. I would like to say thank you to each one personally and to commend you in your chosen profession. You show much compassion, patience and above all else love, that you give to the residents of Avalon. You are appreciated and remembered in our prayers daily. Our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to each and everyone!!”

“Words cannot express my gratitude for all that you do but I’m going to try anyway.
We moved my grandma to your facility in January of 2005. It was a very hard year. My grandma at 91 years old had told us she could no longer live alone and needed help. A very difficult thing to realize! Thank heaven for all of you making that transition for her and us as smooth and comfortable as possible. My mom and I had no doubts that we were moving her into the best place, where we would never have to question her care. Thank you all for that: Administration, nurse, reception, caregivers, housekeeping and maintenance. Avalon would not be what it is if it weren’t for the WHOLE TEAM!”

“The work you are doing here is honorable. It is important. It is part of the real wealth of our society – people who care for others! You may not always feel that the kind of work you do is recognized or important. It is especially so in our world where too often people are only looking at “what’s in it for me?”But those who work in caring professions, such as yours, are doing the hard work and heavy lifting. And those of us who often can’t do this for our loved ones ourselves, are grateful for what you do."

“Thank-you all so very much for the care and kindness you give my mother. I know how hard and difficult at times the work is but you all do it with grace, diligence, and thoughtfulness day in and day out. I want you to know that my sister and I so appreciate all that you do and you have made a big difference in our Mom’s life and in our lives. Seeing the always present smile on our Mom’s face says everything and we thank you for that.”

“My mother always took great pride in her home, and it gives me such peace of mind to know that she is not only well cared for at Avalon, but also happy to be living in a place where the surroundings, the staff and her neighbors make her feel part of a vital community.”
